8:00 AM – Coaches & Volunteer Meeting to Discuss Course/Rules
8:30 AM – GIRLS C DIVISION RUN (3RD & 4TH GRADE)
9:00 AM – BOYS C DIVISION RUN (3RD & 4TH GRADE)
9:30 AM – GIRLS B DIVISION RUN (5TH & 6TH GRADE)
10:00 AM – BOYS B DIVISION RUN (5TH & 6TH GRADE)
10:30 AM – GIRLS A DIVISION RUN (7TH AND 8TH GRADE)
11:00 AM – BOYS A DIVISION RUN (7TH AND 8TH GRADE)
11:30 AM – TROPHY PRESENTATIONS
THERE WILL BE THREE (3) COURSES THAT WILL BE CONDUCTED MAINLY AROUND THE AREA OF THE PARK. C DIVISION WILL BE .75 MILE COURSE, B DIVISION WILL BE 1.00 MILE COURSE AND A DIVISION WILL BE 1.50 MILE COURSE.
PLEASE NOTE THAT CYO WELCOMES ALL PARTICIPANTS BUT YOU SHOULD NOTE THAT THIS IS A CHALLENGING COURSE. WHILE AN ATHLETE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE AN ELITE RUNNER, HE/SHE SHOULD HAVE SOME MINIMAL EXPERIENCE IN RUNNING DISTANCES AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE COURSE WITHOUT WALKING.
INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM COMPETITION
ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A RIBBON UPON COMPLETION OF THE COURSE. FOR THE A, B & C DIVISIONS, WE WILL AWARD MEDALS TO THE TOP FINISHERS IN EACH OF THE SIX RACES. THE NUMBER OF AWARD MEDALS WILL DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PART OF A TEAM TO COMPETE. HOWEVER, TO BE CONSIDERED A TEAM, EACH SCHOOL WILL NEED TO ENTER AT LEAST THREE (3) ATHLETES PER RACE. WE WILL HAVE TEAM AWARDS FOR ALL THREE DIVISIONS. THE TEAM SCORE IS THE TOP THREE PLACES ADDED TOGETHER FOR A TEAM. THE TEAM WITH THE LOWEST SCORE WINS. TEAMS THAT HAVE A TIE SCORE HAVE IT BROKEN BY AWARDING THE VICTORY TO THE TEAM HAVING THE HIGHEST 4TH RUNNER.
REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON 10/24/18 AND CAN BE COMPLETED ON THE CYOLA.ORG WEBSITE UNDER THE REGISTRATION TAB. ONCE REGISTERED, DOWNLOAD THE ROSTER FORM.

AGAIN WE ENCOURAGE AS MANY ATHLETES TO PARTICIPATE BUT WE CAUTION YOU THAT THIS IS A CHALLENGING COURSE. DO NOT ENTER ATHLETES WHO HAVE NO EXPERIENCE IN RUNNING LONG DISTANCES.NO RUNNER YOUNGER THAN 3RD GRADE IS ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE.
Pre-Payment/Fees (NEW POLICY)
CYO WILL accept payments through the mail until November 5th. From November 6th – 9th you may come to the CYO Office to pre-pay and pick up your packet. Refunds WILL NOT be given prior to or on the day of the event.
***IF YOUR SCHOOL HAS NOT PAID FOR YOUR PARTICIPANTS BY
NOVEMBER 9TH THE COST FOR EACH PARTICIPANT AT THE DOOR WILL BE $15.
Make sure any payment made is received by November9th.
The “check is in the mail” will not be an excuse day of the meet, NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you have pre-paid for your participants, additional labels/stickers can be purchased the day of the meet for $12 each. Please call ahead to make sure someone is in the office when you plan on coming. All payments can be by cash or check. Each paid athlete will receive a label/sticker without which they will not be allowed to compete.
LASTLY, AS WITH OUR TRACK AND FIELD MEET, EACH SCHOOL WILL NEED
TO PROVIDE AT LEAST THREE VOLUNTEER ON THE DAY OF
THE EVENT. SCHOOLS WITH LARGER TEAMS WILL BE EXPECTED TO
PROVIDE MORE VOLUNTEERS.
